For over 60 years, St. John’s has been providing a high-quality education to expatriate and local families of the greater Brussels area. We are proud of the impact that we have had on generations of students.
St John’s is a holistic international school community with a long and illustrious history of providing high-quality education. We are rooted in tradition yet forward-looking and always keen to learn and develop our thriving provision.
We are focused on supporting the students in our care to become happy and successful global citizens and we provide a high quality, all round, academic education based upon the curriculum of the renowned International Baccalaureate. We combine this with a wide variety of exciting extracurricular experiences across the performing arts, sports, and fine arts, both on site and around the world.
All of this takes place within a wonderfully warm and welcoming international community that celebrates the cultural variety that people from over 60 nations and six continents provide. We are located in the peaceful, historic town of Waterloo, close to the offerings of Brussels, the administrative centre of the European Union, but without the big-city congestion.

Our History
The school was founded in 1964 by the FCJ - a Catholic order of nuns. Throughout the years it has built its reputation for excellence on a foundation of exceptional academic programmes as well as sports and the visual and performing arts.
An early adopter of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, our school now has over 40 years of IB experience. St. John's offers the full range of Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP).
Since 2016, St. John's has been a part of Inspired, a global group of over 119 premium schools.
