MS Art Show Promises a Fun Evening with Interactive Graffiti Wall
One of two art shows hosted by the Middle School will be taking place this Friday, January 20th from 16:00 to 18:00 in the Greene Gallery. This event promises to be an exciting one with the students’ unique idea to have a public Graffiti Wall for everyone to enjoy. The students have worked hard on drawings, paintings, collages, glass painting, mosaics, and stone sculptures, and have chosen 2 favourite pieces each to be showcased during the Vernissage.
This year the students have spent some time with print making, which is the stamping of paper. They have also involved themselves in design tech where they boosted their paper art skills and moulded sculptures using just this medium! Didn’t we say this was a talented bunch? We’ll be enjoying music from a play list created by these young artists, and there will also be refreshments to enjoy while appreciating the art work.
And yes, we know you want more information on the graffiti wall, because, let’s face it, that sounds super fun! The students came up with this idea. They wanted to learn the art of graffiti lettering and thought of involving the audience to make this an interactive experience for them as well. Don’t miss this unconventional activity when you swing by this Friday!
