International Festival celebrates diversity

Monday, 17 October, 2016

The Sports Arena and Hall were filled to capacity on Friday during the St. John’s International Festival. A record 47 countries participated in the parade, while some 30 countries also hosted a stand, where students could collect stamps for their “passport” when correctly answering a question about a country and where traditional food and drink were served after the evening parade.

International Festival is a beautiful celebration of the diversity of the St. John’s community, which represents 61 different nationalities. On this day, we learn about the various cultures and countries represented at our school and to enjoy and appreciate that rich diversity.
