Grade 7 is characterized by marked growth in students’ abilities to engage in complex and abstract thinking and to articulate their own beliefs in distinction from their peers.
All Grade 7 students take year-long courses in Math, Science, Social Studies, Language Arts, French, Religion, Physical Education and an Arts survey course with 12-week cycles in visual arts, music and drama.
An enrichment rotation offers students opportunities for hands-on learning: Media, Food Science and Design Thinking.

The guidance counselor determines the daily schedule for English as Additional Language (EAL) and Language Arts Enrichment (LAE) students.
In September, the class engages in outdoor education in the Ardeche Gorge in southern France. This week-long experience develops the strengths of courage and perseverance as students learn new skills in kayaking, rock climbing and caving. The week also builds on learning in Earth Science developed that the end of Grade 6, and sets routines of teamwork and shared reflection that we will develop throughout the year.
